Flight Control Racket

I really loved Flight Control for iOS, which was beautifully designed, fun, and addictive. I spent many hours on the Seoul subway juggling routes of all the different planes, and the expansions and updates to the game over time were pretty good, all things considered. This was a developer that clearly “got it”.

Which made me all the more disappointed to read the review of the sequel, Flight Control Rocket, from Ben Kuchera in Penny Arcade Report:

There is a special hell for the people who create monetization schemes this evil.

(Check out the screenshot in the review showing that you can literally buy a score bonus.) If that’s not enough, the overall visual design seems to fall far short of the classy original. Just sad.
